Delphi 2007 Installation

I've been working quite a bit with Delphi 2007 lately and I must say, they've done a great job with it. It's much faster to load than Delphi 7, faster compile times and in general pretty stable. In fact I've managed to get D7 to crash a couple of times with some weird design-time stuff I've been doing and Delphi 2007 has held it's ground. There is one glitch with it though, and I've mentioned it in the past. , which is the installer. Why am I bringing it up now again? Well, since I've spent much of today re-installing my system
I've been contemplating how long things take to install. In the time it's taken to install Delphi 2007, I've managed to install Visual Studio 2005, SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and even the Windows SDK which complete is +900MB download and install (although I chose around 700MB). All three use the same underlying technology: MSI, so it can't be that MSI is to blame for all the speed issues.
